From "Donkey Baseball" to World Championship Rowing, Port Dalhousie has seen it all.

I can remember as a kid going down to the Granstand in the Park to watch the hilarious antics of watching "grown men" play baseball, running the bases on the backs of donkeys. Then there was "Eddie" Feigner and his wicked windmill and trick pitching.

Aside from that, Port has always been a mecca for organized sports at every level. In large part they have been sponsored by the Legion, Lions Club, Firemen and DYC. Town merchants and business people were also generous in their support.
